  Not that it's necessarily false - and I'm usually the last person to care about "journalistic integrity" - but how can a newspaper publish such a definitive line like that without being 99% sure it's true? Aren't they just going to look stupid when they inevitably have to admit that the couple hasn't broken up yet?!

• Honestly, I think it's all a big hoo-ha stirred up by their publicist -- the same guy who reps ALL parties involved. I find it odd that my place of employment and US Weekly had stories on A-Rod and Madonna (which...really? where did that come from?), and then Perez and then the Daily News come up with this all in the same week, without a mention of any of the people involved merely five days ago. My guess is this "source" is making a lot of money to say this stuff.
  
  But it would be awesome if I was wrong, because I'll be awaiting the "It ain't over till it's over" jokes.
