"Yankee hitter Alex Rodriguez and his wife, Cynthia, have ended their five year marriage, the News has learned."By , at 11:08 PM <$BlogItemControl$>
Not that it's necessarily false - and I'm usually the last person to care about "journalistic integrity" - but how can a newspaper publish such a definitive line like that without being 99% sure it's true? Aren't they just going to look stupid when they inevitably have to admit that the couple hasn't broken up yet?!
Honestly, I think it's all a big hoo-ha stirred up by their publicist -- the same guy who reps ALL parties involved. I find it odd that my place of employment and US Weekly had stories on A-Rod and Madonna (which...really? where did that come from?), and then Perez and then the Daily News come up with this all in the same week, without a mention of any of the people involved merely five days ago. My guess is this "source" is making a lot of money to say this stuff.By Karen, at 12:00 AM <$BlogItemControl$>
But it would be awesome if I was wrong, because I'll be awaiting the "It ain't over till it's over" jokes.
When considering Alex, Cynthia and Lenny all I can think is... "can't all of them do better?"By Mr. Faded Glory, at 12:14 PM <$BlogItemControl$>

And when A-Rod is driving in his car, he'll only listen to Madonna music, the trainer said.
I hope his favorite song is Bad Girl.
