• eek, but lol
  reminded me of this story about lucas' reaction to the first version of darth maul, which for some reason tot cracked me up at the time and still does.

• also you'd be surprised at how many recipes in which i've replaced milk or cream with creme fraiche. even though it's difficult to find in california because every place only has the mexican type which is gross

• HOW ABOUT IN A CAKE?? i remember the first time i had a chocolate cake made with sour cream in place of the milk. same idea no?
  
  and that whole wimping down was inexcusable (but, sadly, consistent with much of the rest of lucas' post-insane-level-of-success work). {sigh} did you know that "i know" was an ad libbed??? i only recently learned- heard carrie fisher tell it from her point of view and it was HILARIOUS....

• Yes, I knew that. Ford had done the "I love you too" line a number of times and complained that it wasn't working and didn't feel like Han, and luckily since Lucas wasn't the director, he was given the freedom to try some things.
  
  Also how cool is it that Ford's two most iconic roles most character-defining moments were ad-libbed on the spot? Ford was sick during Raiders and rather than fight the sword-wielding arab with the bullwhip how Lucas had scripted it, suggested he just shoot him.
  
  I kinda am in love with Harrison Ford.
