soft hands.

weeping with laughter you guys

Because the 5-foot-11 Crosby is fast, loves to run and is a good bunter, he knew he wanted to play in the National League, and he found Cincinnati to be the best fit.

translation: because he knew he wasn't getting a job anywhere else, he signed with the reds.

"Even being a fifth outfielder for a National League team, you're going to get three times as many at-bats as I would if I were with the Yankees again," Crosby said. "It's exciting to know I can play my game. Sometimes I'd get the green light, but I'd get the stare from Joe (Torre) that said I better be sure. Then you hesitate and just wait for (Hideki) Matsui to hit a two-run homer.

...It's nice to go to an organization that if you produce, you're going to play." [cincinnati post]

aw, a mouth like gary sheffield-lite with all the talent of tony womack! of course you get to play if you produce. the problem, my little rabbit, is that you don't produce. ever. there was that one time where you did that thing, but you know and i know you stood there, manny-like, soaking it all in, because you knew and i knew that it wasn't likely to happen again. anyway, i hope all the fluffy camraderie makes transitioning your career as a never-was to an underwhelming nl club a little easier!

  • First of all, I love the STFU tag. Secondly, Torre is a shitty manager for a variety of reasons, but discouraging stealing with that lineup is not one of them.

  • As a former Yankee who goes to the Red and then rips the team for not being "given a fair shot" I'd say he's got a mouth like Tony Womack, too.
