"People make fun of baseball fans because they can get so eloquent about how much they love the game," Joe Torre said. "Look, I know I make my living at this game. It's been a part of my life for 50 years. But just look at everything you're getting out of the game this week. What other sport can beat that? What other sport can top that? It's one-of-a-kind in so many ways."
