something like dancing

one of the things i enjoy about watching alex rodriguez play day in and day out: those swings where he reaches out and pokes at a ball just off the outside corner, and ends up poking it over the right field fence. no effort, no violence. just a restrained easy grace, like the power's an afterthought.
